CIRCO training now available nationally for the first time

By Nicole Garofano  February 18th, 2025

After a successful launch in Victoria last year, the ACE Hub is now rolling out the CIRCO Circular Business Design Workshop across Australia.

Are you ready to CIRCO your business? In 2024, we successfully launched CIRCO training in Victoria, with graduates including teams from Officeworks, Coles, Reece, Bega, Eagle Lighting, Barwon Water, Godfrey Hirst and Adorn. Now, the program is being rolled out nation-wide for the first time

Why CIRCO training in 2025?

According to the Australian Government’s National Circular Economy Framework (2024), businesses must lead the movement to adopt more circular practices by example to meet growing stakeholder expectations, ensure compliance and capitalise on new marketing opportunities.

This is so businesses can:

  • Significantly reduce Scope 3 or value-chain emissions through materials efficiency,

  • Gain an edge in a rapidly evolving global marketplace, and

  • Enhance competitiveness on the international stage.

What is CIRCO training?

CIRCO training targets the design phase of product and service development, exploring circular business model opportunities with organisations. It offers practical training initially for individuals and organisations offering products to the market and to those involved in product value chains.

The training aims to empower entrepreneurs and creative professionals to promote circular business by helping them redesign products, services and business models, with a focus on retaining value in products that last and products that flow.

CIRCO training provides this practical knowledge and is aimed at organisations that put products out into the market and the people who help them achieve this including business developers, designers from all sectors, marketeers, operations, innovation and commercial managers from various organisations."

The CIRCO training program has been highly successful in countries around the world including Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam in the Asia Pacific.

How can I get involved?

Now you can CIRCO your business with our world-leading circular business model design training. Go beyond learning with CIRCO and build connections, explore collaboration opportunities and develop your circular product design roadmap, based on your value chain.

We have two options for CIRCO training for you and your business – both with hands-on learning:

A 7-week Remote Circular Business Track (Live, online training): Delivered using three online modules supported by one-on-one calls with your trainer and webinars.

A 6-week Hybrid Circular Business Track (Online and 1 full day in person): Delivered using two online modules and one module as a full-day workshop in person.

Between these two modules, you will be supported through one-on-one calls with your trainer and a webinar. We will also be offering more in-person options in the coming weeks so keep an eye out.

Have we got you interested? Applications are opening very soon for an April start. Send your questions and interest by email to Sally-Anne Kasner, ACE Hub Training Manager and CIRCO Accredited Trainer.
